What Are They?

What is Neuora-P?

Neuora-P incorporates a unique Vitamin D delivery system that helps provide Vitamin D in a slow but continuous 2+-hour release format. Each Neuora-P mint contains 1,666 IU of Vitamin D. The slow release of Vitamin D eliminates gastric irritation from a large single dose of Vitamin D swallowed in pill form. One Neuora-P tablet not only freshens your breath, but also meets the daily requirement recommended by doctors (800 to 2,000 IU per day).

How Do You Use Neuora-P?

You should consult your doctor to determine if you are Vitamin D deficient. The degree of deficiency will dictate how many Neuora-P tablets you take every day. You can safely take up to three tablets per day, depending on your doctor's recommendation if you are Vitamin D deficient.

What is the recommended dosage for Neuora-P?

The dosage varies, depending upon the needs of the individual. One Neuora-P tablet per day meets your daily requirements for Vitamin D (800 to 2,000 IU). If you have been diagnosed with Vitamin D deficiency, consult your physician as to how much Vitamin D you should take per day.

The Benefits

The following Benefits of Vitamin D Supplementation is Summarized from the Mayo Clinic

Strong Scientific Evidence Supporting the Use of Vitamin D Supplementation

Vitamin D Deficiency

This is associated with many conditions, including bone loss, kidney disease, lung disorders, diabetes, stomach and intestine problems, and heart disease. Vitamin D supplementation has been found to help prevent or treat Vitamin D deficiency.

Osteomalacia (bone softening in adults)

Adults who have severe Vitamin D deficiency may experience bone pain and softness, as well as muscle weakness. Osteomalacia may be found among the following people: those who are elderly and have diets low in Vitamin D; those with problems absorbing Vitamin D; those without enough sun exposure; those who undergo stomach or intestine surgery; those with bone disease caused by aluminum; those with chronic liver disease; or those with bone disease associated with kidney problems. Treatment for osteomalacia depends on the cause of the disease and often includes pain control and surgery, as well as Vitamin D and phosphate-binding agents.

Good Scientific Evidence Supporting the Use of Vitamin D Supplementation

Dental cavities

Much evidence has shown that Vitamin D helps prevent cavities.

Fall prevention

Many studies suggest that Vitamin D helps prevent falls, especially in people who live in care facilities.

Muscle weakness/pain

Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to muscle weakness and pain.

Osteoporosis (general)

Vitamin D and calcium are used to treat people with osteoporosis, especially after a fracture, as well as to prevent osteoporosis in people who have endocrine or nutrition problems.

Scientific Evidence Supporting the Use of Vitamin D Supplementation Has Been Reported. However, Further Studies Are Suggested.

People with asthma may have an increased risk of Vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D may help reduce inflammation, decrease asthma severity, and improve treatment.

Autoimmune diseases

Vitamin D may reduce inflammation and help prevent autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and Crohn's disease. Cancer prevention (breast, colorectal, prostate, other) Many studies have looked at the effects of Vitamin D on cancer. Positive results have been reported with the use of Vitamin D alone or with calcium. Vitamin D intake with or without calcium has been studied for colorectal, cervical, breast, and prostate cancer. A reduced risk of colorectal cancer has been shown with Vitamin D supplementation.

Higher blood levels of Vitamin D are associated with better mental performance in people with Alzheimer's disease. Weekly dietary intake of Vitamin D has been linked to better mental performance in older women.

Vitamin D may benefit fertility. However, more study is needed to understand its potential effects on pregnancy completion and live birth.

Fractures (prevention)

Conflicting results have been found on the use of Vitamin D for fracture prevention.

Fractures (treatment)

Studies have suggested that Vitamin D levels may decrease after a hip fracture, and that Vitamin D may help improve these levels.

High blood pressure

Low levels of Vitamin D may be linked to high blood pressure. Blood pressure is often higher during the winter season, at a further distance from the equator, and in people with dark skin pigmentation.

Immune function

Early research suggests that Vitamin D and similar compounds, such as alfacalcidol, may impact immune function. Vitamin D added to standard therapy may benefit people with infectious disease.

Increasing lifespan

Intake of Vitamin D may be linked to a longer lifespan.

Inflammatory bowel disease

Studies on the use of Vitamin D for inflammatory bowel disease are limited. Early evidence suggests benefit for people who have Crohn's disease.

Loose teeth

Research suggests that intake levels of calcium and Vitamin D aimed at preventing osteoporosis may help prevent teeth from falling out.

Mood disorders

Some studies suggest an association between low Vitamin D levels in the blood and various mood disorders, including depression, seasonal affective disorder, and premenstrual syndrome. Also Vitamin D supplementation may improve symptoms of depression associated with seasonal affective disorder.

Multiple sclerosis (MS)

Vitamin D may have a protective effect on the risk of developing MS. A link has been suggested between low Vitamin D and MS risk.

Muscle strength

Evidence is mixed regarding the effect of Vitamin D on strength in the elderly.

Some studies suggest potential benefit for birth weight, length, and weight, as well as reduced risk of diabetes during pregnancy.

Seasonal affective disorder

This is a form of depression that occurs during the winter months, possibly due to reduced exposure to sunlight. In one study, Vitamin D was found to be better than light therapy in the treatment of this disorder.

Sexual dysfunction

Vitamin D has been studied for sexual dysfunction.

Higher levels of Vitamin D may decrease the risk of stroke.

Type 1 diabetes

Some studies suggest that Vitamin D may help prevent the development of type 1 diabetes.

Type 2 diabetes

Vitamin D has mixed effects on blood sugar and insulin sensitivity. It is often studied in combination with calcium.

Vitamin D deficiency (infants and breast feeding mothers)

Early studies suggest that Vitamin D may benefit both breastfeeding mothers and their babies.

Weight gain (in women with menopause)

Vitamin D and calcium may have an effect on weight gain in women undergoing menopause. Evidence suggests that this may be particularly true in women consuming inadequate calcium.

The Technology

The technology behind Neuora-P took over 20 years to develop. The doctors who created Neuora-P wanted to develop a breath mint with added nutraceuticals (Vitamin D) that lasted for hours instead of minutes. In addition, it had to be small enough to be comfortable and unobtrusive, made of natural ingredients that provided health benefits (Vitamin D), freshened breath, killed the germs that cause bad breath, and promoted oral, gum and tooth health.

Each tiny Neuora-P tablet contains an anti-bacterial/anti-cavity sweetener (Xylitol) and flavoring enhanced by a proprietary booster for long lasting flavor dispersion.

The release of Vitamin D, Xylitol and peppermint flavor is an overlapping process that lasts until the tablet is fully dissolved imparting a cool, mildly aromatic and soothing sensation in your mouth for the full multi-hour duration of each Neuora-P tablet.

How to Use

Each Neuora-P tablet is formulated to provide continuous release of Vitamin D as well as breath freshening protection for over 2 hours during the day, and up to 8 hours overnight. Seconds after being moistened by saliva, the Neuora-P tablet can be placed between your upper or lower gum and cheek, placed under your tongue, placed to stick on the inside of a back molar, or just sucked on. As the tablet is dissolved by saliva, Vitamin D, Xylitol and enhanced flavoring are continuously released in your mouth.

Comparison & Value*

Since Neuora-P doubles as a long-lasting breath mint that also delivers Vitamin D, let’s just compare the cost for the breath-mint component. The average container of candy mints holds 70 mints and each mint lasts on average 3 minutes.

Compared to Neuora-P’s minimum 2-hour duration, it would take 50 candy mints to equal just 1 Neuora-P tablet.

You would have to consume nearly 5,000+ candy mints and spend over $200 to equal just one 100-tablet bottle of Neuora-P. Since the list price of a 100-tablet bottle of Neuora-P is $39.95, you would save over $60! That does not even include the cost for Vitamin D which could be an additional $10 to $20, depending upon whom you purchased your Vitamin D supplements from.

*Based on independent & certified dissolution tests at Analytical Resource Laboratories comparing the dissolution time of Neuora-P to Altoids, Tic-Tacs, 3-Hour Breath Savers, Ice Breakers and Mentos.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the ingredients in Neuora-P all natural?

Yes. Every ingredient in Neuora-P is 100% natural. In addition to Vitamin D, the main ingredient, hypromellose, is just a fancy name for plant fiber that has been converted to a powder base, hydrated, and heated to give the tablet its moisture-resistant, slow-dissolve properties. The flavoring comes from natural ingredients allowing for a sustained cooling and breath freshening experience over the long life of each mint tablet. The sweetener, Xylitol, is a natural product that was discovered in the bark of birch trees in Finland. A tiny amount (1 part per 5 million) of sucralose, a non-calorie and non-cavity promoting sweetener, is also added to heighten the flavor. The remaining natural ingredients alginate, and magnesium stearate are common to most tableted products.

Will Neuora-P cause cavities or gum disease?

No. There are no tooth decay-promoting ingredients in Neuora-P. On the contrary, the Xylitol sweetener has been shown in numerous studies to kill the germs that cause bad breath, plaque and gum disease. In addition, Xylitol has been shown to re-mineralize tooth enamel, whiten teeth and stimulate healthy salivation - the mouth's natural cleansing process. Therefore, Neuora-P can help create an environment conducive to good oral health by stimulating salivation - the mouth’s natural cleansing process.

Can Neuora-P be used to combat "morning breath"?

Yes. We get morning breath because at night while we sleep we don't produce much saliva. Saliva is a natural mouth cleansing system that washes away the thousands of epithelial cells (cells that line the mouth) that die every day in our mouths. When these cells aren't washed away by saliva while we sleep, they decay and decompose in the mouth causing the foul odors associated with morning breath.

Because of this reduced salivation, the Neuora-P will take up to 8 hours to dissolve in your mouth. You'll actually wake up with the softened mint still adhering to your gum giving you sparkling fresh breath. With Neuora-P, embarrassment and unpleasantness of morning breath will be a thing of the past.

Can l eat or drink while I have Neuora-P in my mouth?

Neuora-P's creamy flavor may interfere with your taste of your food and therefore some people prefer removing the mint before they eat and drink and replacing it after they finish eating. However, others find the mint flavoring enjoyable as they drink water or even eat.

My Neuora-P are not lasting 2 + hours. Why?

Sucking on the Neuora-P tablet excessively, moving it around in your mouth, agitating it with your tongue, eating and drinking warm liquids can decrease the duration of the mint. Even if you do this, Neuora-P still remains the longest lasting breath mint you can buy.

When I first put a Neuora-P tablet in my mouth, I get a drying sensation on my lips. Why?

This drying sensation is really your body suggesting you need more hydration -- you need to drink more water every day. Try drinking a glass of water before putting the mint in your mouth. After placing the mint in your mouth it absorbs saliva like a sponge until the tablet "swells,” and turns to a soft gel. After this, Neuora-P flavoring and Xylitol will begin to stimulate salivation and moisten your mouth.

Do I still need to brush my teeth and floss?

Definitely YES. Neuora-P is not a substitute for good oral hygiene. Frequent brushing and flossing is a necessity for good oral health. Though Neuora-P can help reduce many of the factors associated with tooth and gum disease, it is not a substitute for brushing, flossing and professional dental care.

Whenever I use Neuora-P I lose my desire for snacking and smoking. Why?

Many people report that Neuora-P helps them curb the craving for snacking and smoking. There are no drugs or ingredients in Neuora-P that could cause this reaction. One possible explanation is the need to eat and smoke is satisfied by the long-term presence of the mint in the mouth. This form of oral gratification could help replace the compulsive drive to put food or cigarettes in your mouth.

Neuora Microceuticals does produce a Neuora-P-type tablet called SuppressMInts. It is designed to control the appetite and snacking as well as help reduce cravings for the bad carbohydrates (pastries, cookies, cakes, donuts, candies, etc.) that make us fat and unhealthy.

4.0 out of 5 stars I really like the long lasting mint flavor and can eat and ... By Loren D, Borntrager on February 5, 2015

I really like the long lasting mint flavor and can eat and still have some flavor left on my gum. It doesn't really interfere with food taste if you don't lick your gums. I really think it has helped my chronic lower back pain since using about 3 pills day. I have not used any pain pills in the last week since taking these but have still had a low level of pain but nothing like I used to have. So far pain hasn't been totally relieved but is much more tolerable. I gave a 3 day supply yesterday to a neighbor to see if it helps him and will update later on about further results on him and me. If life gets better yet, I'll give it 5 stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Accountant with Mood Swings Because of Vitamin D Deficiency By Kindle Customer on November 7, 2014

"These Neuora-P mints are great!  I am so happy to find a substitute for my Vitamin D pills!  I was recently diagnosed with a Vitamin D deficiency and I was prescribed a weekly pill.   The deficiency was affecting my daily mood and my overall well being, making my everyday tasks sometimes overwhelming.  The prescription pill worked amazingly the first day or two, then pretty good the next two days, then not so much after that.  My emotional state was not steady at all.  But these mints saved me!  I am able to take a few throughout the day and get the “leveled-out” emotional relief I need!  I had no idea that Vitamin D contributes so much to your emotional state.  I keep Neuora-P mints at my desk at all times.  The continuous fresh breath is very welcome too.  I don’t have to worry about clients seeing me sucking on mints or chewing on gum either.  Thank you!!!"

How were you introduced to Neuora-P?

A friend aware of my struggles with chronic pain encouraged me to try it.

Why did you want to use Neuora-P?

I wanted to try Neuora-P to help alleviate the symptoms of chronic arthritic pain.

What symptoms did you have?

I was in a horrific car accident 10 years ago where I severely injured my spine from the base of my skull all the way to my sacrum.  As a result of the injuries I sustained in the accident I had to have three spinal surgeries and 4 years of post-surgical physical therapy.  The accident along with the surgeries has led to chronic daily pain and arthritis.  In the cold winter weather I experience "flare ups" that make it difficult to perform day-to-day tasks.  I suffer from sciatica, stiff joints and muscles, post-concussive migraines, and spasms in the muscles that support my spine.  Furthermore, I am a mother of 4 young children and a professional computer programmer--both roles require the performance of tasks, (bending, twisting, lifting, and sitting for extensive periods of time) that my orthopedic surgeon and physical therapist have told me to not do.  However, life does not give the luxury of NOT doing these things...

Are you taking other Pain Pills or Muscle Relaxants?

For personal reasons, I have successfully avoided taking narcotic pain medication since my double-level spinal fusion in the fall of 2008.  Since then and currently I treat my pain with Tylenol and Ibuprofen.  On the really painful days I take a muscle relaxant.

How many times a day do you use Neuora-P?

I put a Neuora-P mint in between my gums and my cheek before I lie down to sleep at night.  Oftentimes the mint is still there when I awake.  A little later in the morning I take a second Neuora-P.

How long after using Neuora-P do you find improvement in your symptoms?

I noticed almost immediate improvements when taking Neuora-P.  After about 5 days in a row of putting it in my cheek/gums at night I noticed in the morning awaking much less stiff and my pain level greatly minimized.  Since the car accident I have loathed the mornings as they are the most difficult part of my day.  The improvement I've experienced as a result of taking Neuora-P has made my mornings much more tolerable.

Do you like the convenience of taking Vitamin D using the long-lasting breath mint?

I've experience many benefits of Neuora-P beyond the lessening of pain levels: taking it before bed helps my normally very dry mouth stay moist through the night; and taking it regularly during the day has greatly improved my ability to deal with chronic pain on an emotional level.

Have you tried other methods of taking Vitamin D?

Yes I have tried taking Vitamin D in other forms.  I've taken it in capsule and pill form.  I've also taken it as a mouth spray.

Why did you find better about Neuora-P as far as taking Vitamin D vs other forms of Vitamin D?

Taking the Neuora-P mint helps give me a continuous release of Vitamin D verses (versus) taking Vitamin D all at once and my body not being able to absorb it.  The slower release of the mint prolongs the benefits I receive from Vitamin D...essentially minimizing my pain over a longer length of time.
